  1. Nothing good, even from some parents who are involved in their lives. I can’t speak for others of course, but that’s NOT what we are teaching our boys. That’s about all we can do. But we refuse to send three shitheads out into the world.

  2. The “I like the quote “You are what you do, not what you say you will do”” comment probably fits better here 🙂 Love the post! “Make a thoughtful promise, To keep to your word.” Yes! I hate empty words, let alone ones that are “promising” me something. And the picture! I liked the solidness of it, too – “My word is stronger than Oak” kind of thing. Very nice piece!

  3. Promises are granted only if they can be kept. I was thinking this morning about tomorrow, then I realize I needed to appreciate today because tomorrow is not promised. While it had seen a cliché before, I realized that we can not expect what we are not promised. Those who fail to keep promises did not give from the heart. Their words never took root.
