  6. From an outdoor adventure perspective, risk-taking is all about management. Risk management and evaluation. What are the risks; how do you manage or mitigate to some extent the risk and what are the potential rewards if correct risk management and evaluation have taken place.

    If after all of that, the risks far outweigh the rewards, it is usually best to back away.

    Having said all that, taking some risk is a good thing.
