The-age-of-madness

The Age Of Madnes

Characterization of the times

Trial of the brain, exceeding restlessness

Jostling and joggling into each other

Walking corpses posing to be alive

Chasing after the hard currencies

Rootlessness of the highest degree

filling the pocket to the grave

The age of madness, transferring it to the newborn

Pills swallowed to stay alive

We don’t even know when or how to stop

What has become of us?

  1. The Age Of Spin. Consumer culture. A love for shortcuts and immediate gratification in terms of sex, money and happiness. We really are in a crazy time.

  2. You do have a way with words; you put them together simply and directly, in casual beauty and yet there is an underlying burning intent that plays through. I do love the way you write, the words and worlds that flow through you.

“Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold; / Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world.” So wrote W.B. Yeats in his poem “Second Coming,” in 1919, after the carnage of World War I.

We’ve been “going crazy” for a while now–ever increasing in intensity and perverseness. In the words of Mr. Yeats: “Surely some revelation is at hand; / Surely the Second Coming is at hand..”

  3. Jonahzsong thanks so much for your kind words means a lot to me and it’s surely motivating ☺. The second coming is really at hand and seems lots of us know but the reality hasn’t dawned on us yet and I wonder if it will. Thanks for sharing this important information 💞❤
