Knocking and Waiting

When you knock on a door, you must wait for someone to open it and let you inside. This simple concept carries profound meaning when applied to our spiritual lives as reflected in Psalm 27:14, which tells us, “Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.” Life often throws arrows of disappointment, tribulations, and sorrow our way. These events are inevitable for both believers and unbelievers. When one of these arrows hits us, it can be easy to feel overwhelmed and lost. But during these times of trial, remember to knock and wait on God’s door.

Keep knocking, God knows.
Keep waiting, patience will see you through.
Keep praising, let your heart sing.

Keep hailing, he hears,
Yahweh sees and knows it all,
In his set time, He’ll answer your call.

  1. I’m getting hit from all angles and sides with these arrows. I trust in the Lord’s timing, but when and how much more pain can I endure? It feels overwhelming, and I’m struggling to find the strength to keep continue to be still.

  2. I’m sorry to hear you’re feeling this way. Remember it’s okay to feel overwhelmed and expressing your emotions is a sign of courage and strength. Keep trusting in the lord and know that you’re not alone in this struggle. The lord is your strength ❤️
