Shattered Glass

My heart,

Transparent like a glass,

See through my innocent soul.

Trying to pave through my heart?

Tender as it is?

Do you not see?

that mounting on my heart,

shatters me,

to bits and pieces too tiny,

cannot be put back into shape.

Can be shaped back together?

How?

Will it be the same again?

Same way it was before?

Or stronger?

Like starting all over again?

Why then treat heart that way?

When all you have to do,

is to tread with care,

not break heart into pieces,

care for heart as you care for your life.

My True Companion

In the journey of life, I met you,

Never searched your soul,

I looked into your eyes, what I saw was beautiful,

All I knew was that you were my companion.

I embraced you, loved you, and learn’t from you,

You thought me, accepted me, and shared with me.

Knowing fully well that someday we will get to the destination,

When we get to the end of the journey,

I will breath a sigh of satisfaction;

Knowing fully well that we shall meet again in another world.

It came to me that every time I loose a dog, they take a piece of my heart with them. And every new dog who comes into my life gifts me with a piece of their heart, If I live long enough, all the components of my heart will be dog, and I will become as generous and loving as they are- Unknown
