In the Midst of Darkness

Catastrophic events, trials, tribulations,

Flows in the part of life,

A necessity it is,

Encapsulating darkness to give rise to destruction.

Fought at the war front to break it into fragments,

Rebuffed, declined, refused,

Light is unleashed when the capsule cracks open.

Skin filled with filth of darkness,

Tossed away with spiritual cleansing,

Like the waves washed the shore.

A bright new skin is given birth to,

And Light comes forth.

in the midst of darknessThe heart corrupt with evil,

Calling forth darkness to overtake,

Will break open and through the eyehole shall light find it’s way in,

And shall call out the darkness,

To love, kindness, peace, togetherness, humility.

Nations engulfed with war,

Killings, Kidnappings, Abuses,

Why fill your domain with darkness?

Nothing good comes out of it,

Why seek for the power of the dark side?

Rebuke it, let it be banished,

Receive light for it will take you to the higher side.

Darkness and light have no place together

I hug light tightly to my bosom,

For darkness not to prevail.

Because I belong to the light,

I will not be overshadowed,

World overwhelmed by darkness is for a while,

Light will show forth, it cannot be consumed,

It can never be consumed.

We call out to light in one accord and embrace it like a child.

Layers of Thy Journey

Journey granted,

Overwhelming emotions of blissfulness,

Imperfect, unstable, humanistic I was.

Dissected layers of trials in trust to me,

I had little knowledge of,

Which befell my course.

I presumed, dared with so much confidence,

Amazing how far I have gone without noticing,

Segments have grown tall into the amazon.

Satisfaction not remitted,

but emitted,

Grudgingly I step,

not stumbling,

but humbling.

Still on the path to clinched victory.

Who’s In That Mirror

Look beyond your insecurities,

They are just obstacles.

Look beyond your fears,

They are just your imaginations.

Look beyond the voice in your head causing negativity,

It’s just an illusion.

Look beyond that mirror,

Who do you see?

The physical appearance of yourself is a perception of what you see in the mirror. Take a few bold steps to the mirror now, look closely…. A little bit closer…. Behind the physique which comprises of your body, face, legs, nose, eyes, arms. WHO DO YOU SEE?

who's in that mirror

Did you recognize yourself?

Something lurks behind it that you have never even taken cognizance of. If you didn’t see it then that means you need to get a better mirror. Smile if you want to… I bet the last time you looked into the mirror was to brush your teeth, shave beards, put on the make-up or maybe dress up to see how lovely you look.

You have most likely failed to see the past, future, failures, achievements, warning signs, visions, sadness, joy, growth…The things that have journeyed this far with you to see the “presumed physical image”.

Do you like what you see?

You have obviously changed since the last time you really saw yourself in the mirror, not the checking up your physical appearance routine thing! This is a question only you can answer; some of us see ourselves through the eyes of people we think know us so well but do they have those same eyes that look into that mirror? Big question

who's in that mirror

The quicker you connect with the person in the mirror, the earlier it will increase your self awareness. You get to understand yourself better, your strengths, weaknesses, fear… Secrets about yourself which you have been avoiding will be exposed to you right there and then, it’s not as bad as you might think, it only helps you in the journey of life.

The first time I practiced this, I was initially intimidated by my own image, I was like “who’s that strange person?” but I put it off as a bluff after more attempts. Now I know better because I have looked and gone beyond.

Do it now, search your soul, see yourself, know yourself!

Pleasure to Live

Children find pleasure running around playing with their mates,

They find pleasure smearing sweet chocolates all over their face,

Kids find pleasure watching TV cartoons,

They love babies, they want them to live and grow.

Tiny little kids of ours love to love wholeheartedly.

Children are young at heart, they feel unrestrained,

Hold no grudge,

Innocent at heart,

We love them…

Adults find pleasure in sex, hmm sweet!

Good to find pleasure making people smile.

Some find pleasure in hard drugs,

Wicked ones find pleasure in killing,

Disturbed ones find pleasure in stealing,

Some find pleasure in doing evil, and other abnormal acts

Whatever gives pleasure is lasting because it tastes good to you,

Sticks to the memory!

But aren’t you depriving others pleasure to live ?

To laugh,

To rejoice,

To multiply,

To grow,

To choose,

To have a second chance in life.

Seek pleasure in doing good. God will be pleased…

Whispering Clouds

Dark in the night,

The moon had gone to hide,

There was terror,

Blood like stain all over the ground,

The clouds roared and rumbled in astonishment.

Alima whispered with tears in her voice,

Her face stricken with fear.

We are lost mother,

We are lost…

We tried to run, but we got lost

They are coming, yet we are not set,

They are coming in thousands,

To feed on our shadows,

I see them, yes they see me,

Oh my!

They are set in the misty clouds,

They can’t be brought down,

Nooo!

The lost souls are risen.

Come save us mother.

Come save us…
