Shallow Obsession

I think there has always been an obsession with youth and beauty. What’s missing is the equal obsession with respect for older people and their wisdom and knowledge and courage-Julie Christie

Give Me A Word

Give me a word…

It ponders, swirling like the whirlwind

Imagination tiggering In a directions

Speaking in my head, excitement happening

Certainly verified.

Give me a word’

That was exactly the thought I had in mind when I got out of bed this morning. It’s the begining of a new week which appears to be promising with the sun shining bright through my window.

So many ideas pouring out wanting to be written down but I will take them one at a time because it’s the dawn of new beginnings.

‘Give me a word’

I pray and asked the good lord to give me the word out of all words that will set me apart this week and attract everything I need to know…knowledge, wisdom and understanding.

A word mearnt for me only just as you ask for a word mearnt for you to set you apart….just you.

The Beauty of My Culture

The generational values sublimed in the ethical region,

manifestation of the randomness within; born inside of me.

The driving force of the cluster of togetherness resulting from

the inner mind of my people. The values of my societal knowledge

hatched as a beauty into my daily life, manifesting into streamlines

of concurrences to be recognised. Perception generating from the

stranger with the practice of my culture; thoughts flowing from him

of the weirdness of it. The mental attitude of it that he understands not.

For in him is ignorance and fear of what is not understood. The flawlessness

of my practice is undeniably beauteous. Enchanting the senses of old and

new generation; with the driving force of never letting go.

The Journey

I set out on a journey with high expectations.

I met tribulations, trials, rage, stampede,

I cried from pain,

I feared for my life,

I stumbled in shame,

I fell from being tired.

I said to myself,

I never knew the journey would be this tough.

Along my way, they appeared to me,

Knowledge,Wisdom, Understanding,

Each one of them showed me the light,

They said to me successful people are not gifted;

They just work hard,

Then succeed on purpose,

Never give up.

I rose up unsure of what awaited me,

I moved on with determination,

But cried out in confusion,

Can a journey be this far?

Can a journey be this tough?

Can I survive this journey?

Can I stand the test of time?

Why so much thunderstorms?

Why is the road so rough and narrow?

I dried my tears never giving up.

I  continued with the journey,

I walked with bold steps.

I brought out the sword with the words,

Which I had long forgotten,

And it said to me;

Trust in the Lord on your long journey.

Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord,

And whose hope the Lord is-Jeremiah 17:7

There was a rough tousle of wind,

And I heard,

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,

And do not rely on your own understanding.

Acknowledge him in all your ways,

And he will make your paths straight- Proverbs 3:5-6.

I have journeyed far,

The journey has turned me into a success story.

A journey everyday that has unfolded passionate discoveries.
