Grace Over Rage

I once was a storm with a restless flame,

Quick to anger, quick to blame.

Words would fly before the thought,

Leaving wounds that are hard to heal.

But now a light resides in me,

A calmness is born with Christ within me.

“Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry.” (James 1:19)

Solace in A Chaotic World

Solace comes in quiet moments when we find a corner of calm within ourselves even amidst the chaos and noise. It’s a reminder that peace isn’t the absence of struggle but the strength to rise above it.

Understanding Human Struggles

One of the most remarkable truths about Jesus is that He is both human and divine. Having lived through the human experience, He understands our desires, heartaches, temptations, sufferings, and struggles. Jesus faced the same emotions and challenges during His time on earth, giving Him a deep understanding of what we encounter daily.

Since Jesus understands our pain and struggles firsthand, He offers His divine comfort and guidance. In Him, we can find peace and the assurance that we are never alone in our battles, as He is always ready to lead us through them.

Embracing the New Season

Just as the earth goes through seasons, our spiritual lives do too. There are times of sowing, times of waiting, and times of harvest. When we invite Jesus into our lives, we enter a season of growth and renewal. He brings new beginnings, fresh perspectives, and a sense of hope that only he can provide. According to John 15:4-5 (NIV):

“Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me, you can do nothing.”

Staying connected to Jesus throughout the seasons of sowing, waiting, and harvesting is crucial. It requires patience, but this patience ultimately yields fulfillment.

Knocking and Waiting

When you knock on a door, you must wait for someone to open it and let you inside. This simple concept carries profound meaning when applied to our spiritual lives as reflected in Psalm 27:14, which tells us, “Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.” Life often throws arrows of disappointment, tribulations, and sorrow our way. These events are inevitable for both believers and unbelievers. When one of these arrows hits us, it can be easy to feel overwhelmed and lost. But during these times of trial, remember to knock and wait on God’s door.

Keep knocking, God knows.
Keep waiting, patience will see you through.
Keep praising, let your heart sing.

Keep hailing, he hears,
Yahweh sees and knows it all,
In his set time, He’ll answer your call.
