Knocking and Waiting

When you knock on a door, you must wait for someone to open it and let you inside. This simple concept carries profound meaning when applied to our spiritual lives as reflected in Psalm 27:14, which tells us, “Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.” Life often throws arrows of disappointment, tribulations, and sorrow our way. These events are inevitable for both believers and unbelievers. When one of these arrows hits us, it can be easy to feel overwhelmed and lost. But during these times of trial, remember to knock and wait on God’s door.

Keep knocking, God knows.
Keep waiting, patience will see you through.
Keep praising, let your heart sing.

Keep hailing, he hears,
Yahweh sees and knows it all,
In his set time, He’ll answer your call.

Why I Smile

A smile is a candle burning so bright and comes naturally to me, healing my soul. I extend it to others because it promises comfort and completes a moment. Smile often and watch how it positively alters fate around you, among your friends and loved ones. Your smile reveals a light for all to see, and embrace a heavenly gift to let your heart shine.

I smile for Jesus, my true light,
In His love, I find pure delight.
Through every trial, He stands by me,
His sacrifice set me free.

I cast my fears upon him.
For Jesus, my Savior,
My soul’s delight.
I smile for Him, for I am set free.

Small Gifts Leading to Greater Rewards

Life has moments where we overlook the seemingly small and insignificant things that come our way. When God gives us something small, He builds our faith, patience, and stewardship, preparing us for the beauties of life. So please stay faithful, and be anxious for nothing.

It may appear challenging and insignificant but understand that He values our efforts to utilize and cultivate what He has given, regardless of its size. By faithfully managing the small things, we create an opportunity for God to bless us with greater blessings and responsibilities.

With small gifts, the character grows,
Preparing me for blessings that overflow.
An invitation to grow and soar,
To embrace with diligence.

A journey of a thousand miles,
a single step begins,
In the smallest seeds,
the bigger harvest spins.

I am trusting in God’s timing.
For in these beginnings,
His best plans unfold,
Leading to blessings a thousandfold.

Spreading Love’s Light

I often sit down to reflect on the activities happening around me, whether at my job, among my family and friends, or in the world. It’s astounding how much toxicity exists in the world, yet amidst it all, there are still people who love genuinely.

If only we could cultivate more love in people’s lives—compassion for the less fortunate and a desire to encourage and support those who desperately need it. Love can change the world, one act at a time. Making it our mission to spread it far and wide and creating ripples of positivity can touch countless lives.

Great is the light of love,

shining bright in the darkness,

Rippling through my soul,

extending to those who seek happiness.

Dark forces swirl,

seeking to consume the hearts of men,

But trounced upon by those who offer love again and again.

Furnace of Iron

In the crucible of life, change acts as a furnace of iron, relentlessly shaping and refining our journey. Just as iron transforms in the furnace, we evolve through the endings and beginnings that punctuate our existence.

The Bible tells the story of Job, a righteous and wealthy man who faces a series of devastating trials orchestrated by Satan. In the end, According to Job 42: 12-17, God restores Job’s fortunes and blesses him with greater prosperity than before, highlighting Job’s unwavering faith and resilience throughout his trials.

In the furnace’s fiery glow,

iron’s tale unfolds,

leaving me exposed and vulnerable,

ye my spirit rising higher.

Embracing the heat of the flames,

with courage in my heart.

I emerge refined,

In a faith that will never tire.

For in the depths of suffering’s night,

shines the beacon of divine light.

I’ll face each new beginning,

with triumph in my heart.
