The Blessing of Honor

Honoring our parents goes beyond obedience. it’s about love, gratitude, and respect. We can strengthen family bonds through kindness and service that shape us and impact future generations.

“Honor your father and mother so that your days may be long in the land that your God is giving you” (Exodus 20:12).

Take a moment today to appreciate your parents or parental figures. A call, a thank you, or a small act of kindness can make a difference. Honor isn’t just about a long life, it’s about a life filled with love and purpose.

Clarity Amidst Uncertainty

I’ve always pondered the nature of the Holy Spirit, wondering how it manifests as a divine companion. I got clarity when I journeyed closer to God the Father, Jesus the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, recognizing them as one. I realized that the Holy Spirit embodies a quiet and serene presence. It brings a profound sense of peace and direction. It doesn’t force or push but gently nudges me towards the right path, offering guidance in moments of uncertainty. I often pray to God, asking that he never removes the Holy Spirit from me, recognizing its role as my source of strength and clarity.

Psalm 51:11, “Do not cast me away from Your presence and do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.”

Understanding Human Struggles

One of the most remarkable truths about Jesus is that He is both human and divine. Having lived through the human experience, He understands our desires, heartaches, temptations, sufferings, and struggles. Jesus faced the same emotions and challenges during His time on earth, giving Him a deep understanding of what we encounter daily.

Since Jesus understands our pain and struggles firsthand, He offers His divine comfort and guidance. In Him, we can find peace and the assurance that we are never alone in our battles, as He is always ready to lead us through them.

Knocking and Waiting

When you knock on a door, you must wait for someone to open it and let you inside. This simple concept carries profound meaning when applied to our spiritual lives as reflected in Psalm 27:14, which tells us, “Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.” Life often throws arrows of disappointment, tribulations, and sorrow our way. These events are inevitable for both believers and unbelievers. When one of these arrows hits us, it can be easy to feel overwhelmed and lost. But during these times of trial, remember to knock and wait on God’s door.

Keep knocking, God knows.
Keep waiting, patience will see you through.
Keep praising, let your heart sing.

Keep hailing, he hears,
Yahweh sees and knows it all,
In his set time, He’ll answer your call.

Why I Smile

A smile is a candle burning so bright and comes naturally to me, healing my soul. I extend it to others because it promises comfort and completes a moment. Smile often and watch how it positively alters fate around you, among your friends and loved ones. Your smile reveals a light for all to see, and embrace a heavenly gift to let your heart shine.

I smile for Jesus, my true light,
In His love, I find pure delight.
Through every trial, He stands by me,
His sacrifice set me free.

I cast my fears upon him.
For Jesus, my Savior,
My soul’s delight.
I smile for Him, for I am set free.
