Valentine’s Day Expectations

I always believe Valentine’s day shouldn’t be restricted to being celebrated in a day February 14th. It’s a day I presume should be celebrated everyday. It’s a day celebrated in love and could be with anyone not just your lover and must not be restricted to sex😓😓 just as some are anticipating.

To my own knowledge, today should be celebrated specially with the people we have been too busy to express our love to such as spending time with the poor and feeding them, donating to the orphans, friends we haven’t heard from in a while should be called and greeted, family members far away can be sent one or two surprise gifts or called on phone to show love. Show love to the elderly ones, send flowers to the sick ones.

My previous Valentine’s day was spent in the office all day..working..I barely remembered what day it was.When I was a lot younger, due to my naivety I used to think Valentine’s day was for adults and couples only, which made me eager to grow fast, little did I know back then…

As I grew older I began to understand better and placed less significance on that day because I realised I could celebrate it everyday but acknowledged that It needed more emphacies on February 14th and in a different way.

How has your previous Valentine’s day been and what are your expectations for today’s celebration?

Today is my nephew’s birthday so I sure will share the love with him..

Heard- The Sound Of Music

I believe lots of people have heard and watched the sound of music. It was my favourite romance movie when I was a lot younger which actually got me hooked on it and I ended up watching it a couple of times I can no longer count. The musical romance movie was released back in 1965 and the main actress Maria acted by Julie Andrews was someone I fell in love with and I had a crush on the Austrian widower Von Trapp originally named Christopher Plummer.

If you haven’t watched this movie, please and please you need to get it somehow…It’s the best romance movie I know at the moment. I don’t want to tell too much about it now but….Maria became the governess of the Von Trapp family of Seven kids and along the line she fell in love with their dad the handsome captain…Hmm who wouldn’t?

Maria later got confused about the love thing and tried to go back being a nun😮😮 but was tutored briefly on the things of the heart by Mother Abess meanwhile the other nuns considered Maria as someone they didn’t know what to do with, I guess she was quite a naughty one at the Abbey.

It’s quite a long movie but a very interesting one you would not want to miss any of the act. The music I can still single some till date…

Love can be found in places we don’t expect…Can one ever be ready for it? What do you do when it happens?

What Would You Do With Chaos Love

Do you know what it feels like when love goes chaos? Hmm. I bet you will never love the same way again OR you will rather not love anymore. Love feels good, it’s right, it’s bound to happen but what’s the significance of it when it leads to destruction, confusion and then hatred. Then you say to yourself, perhaps I shouldn’t have threaded on that ground.

However bizarre love turns, how you handle it is paramount. What do you do with love that starts to turn bitter from sweet? Why is it swinging to the wrong side? When did it start to go paranoid? Where did it go unethical? These are some of the questions you should ask yourself if you want to turn your bitter love around or better still walk away. Thankfully we have choices to be made.

You want to try this steps to make your love sweet again?

Start learning to appreciate your partner in terms of efforts in career, finances and care for family.
Acknowledge the fact that your partner needs time to be alone sometimes, maybe to have fun with friends, go on trips alone to recover from work stress or time to regain balance in life.
Revitalize the love that once existed by changing your wardrobe, wear more sexy clothes, act more like a lioness in bed, be seductive and touch him once in a while in his sensitive parts.
Surprise her with gifts, invite her out for occasions or dinner.
Say nice things to your partner, try as much as possible to make eye contacts with her. Remember you have a choice. Make a good one.

Appreciate Every Tiny Favour

Learning to appreciate every favour that comes our way is important in life. Showing gratitude for every tiny privilege granted us goes a long way.

Many of us don’t know how to do this; I feel biased when I come across people that aren’t grateful of this little opportunities they have or help they get from friends or families. It’s actually a bad habit. We shouldn’t wait till we loose this people before we start to acknowledge them.

Let’s learn to appreciate out parents, friends, colleagues, neighbours, readers, business partners, customers, children, loved ones, workers, siblings, leaders, and the fact is everyone deserves to be appreciated for their kindness to us.

Some people appreciate favours but when it’s time to help, they decline, forgetting they were once also helped. Helping others is a great way of showing appreciation. It gives you this feeling of contentment, joy and fulfillment.

Day 2-Three Day Quote Challenge
