Valentine’s Day Expectations

I always believe Valentine’s day shouldn’t be restricted to being celebrated in a day February 14th. It’s a day I presume should be celebrated everyday. It’s a day celebrated in love and could be with anyone not just your lover and must not be restricted to sex😓😓 just as some are anticipating.

To my own knowledge, today should be celebrated specially with the people we have been too busy to express our love to such as spending time with the poor and feeding them, donating to the orphans, friends we haven’t heard from in a while should be called and greeted, family members far away can be sent one or two surprise gifts or called on phone to show love. Show love to the elderly ones, send flowers to the sick ones.

My previous Valentine’s day was spent in the office all day..working..I barely remembered what day it was.When I was a lot younger, due to my naivety I used to think Valentine’s day was for adults and couples only, which made me eager to grow fast, little did I know back then…

As I grew older I began to understand better and placed less significance on that day because I realised I could celebrate it everyday but acknowledged that It needed more emphacies on February 14th and in a different way.

How has your previous Valentine’s day been and what are your expectations for today’s celebration?

Today is my nephew’s birthday so I sure will share the love with him..

Criticize The Best Out Of Me

There are people out there to praise you just as their are those to criticize you. Our heart must always be open to accept praises just as it accepts criticism. What we ought to do is to hold it in our hands, access it because sometimes the criticism helps bring the best out of us.

Accepting praises all the time without also accessing it is dangerous as it can get into our heads especially when we have confused praises with flattery just for what can be obtained from us. We have to pay attention to be able to identify critics that are out there to make or bring us down.

What I say to critics is to ‘bring it on’, I’m fully open to critics just as am fully open to accessing them and criticizing them critics too😀😀

To be sincere with you there are times I pretend to ignore critics but sometimes deep down in my heart I know they are telling the truth…Though not all of them but I have been able to identify those that are saying the fact and I sit myself down to adjust things. It has paid off so much..

One thing deep critics, I mean those that have taken it as a profession don’t know is that when they take one step in criticizing someone, the person takes two steps forward in being a better person while they take three steps back in fooling themselves and remaining stagnant…

Heard- The Sound Of Music

I believe lots of people have heard and watched the sound of music. It was my favourite romance movie when I was a lot younger which actually got me hooked on it and I ended up watching it a couple of times I can no longer count. The musical romance movie was released back in 1965 and the main actress Maria acted by Julie Andrews was someone I fell in love with and I had a crush on the Austrian widower Von Trapp originally named Christopher Plummer.

If you haven’t watched this movie, please and please you need to get it somehow…It’s the best romance movie I know at the moment. I don’t want to tell too much about it now but….Maria became the governess of the Von Trapp family of Seven kids and along the line she fell in love with their dad the handsome captain…Hmm who wouldn’t?

Maria later got confused about the love thing and tried to go back being a nun😮😮 but was tutored briefly on the things of the heart by Mother Abess meanwhile the other nuns considered Maria as someone they didn’t know what to do with, I guess she was quite a naughty one at the Abbey.

It’s quite a long movie but a very interesting one you would not want to miss any of the act. The music I can still single some till date…

Love can be found in places we don’t expect…Can one ever be ready for it? What do you do when it happens?

Lovingly Wrapped In Comfort

In the comfort of our own world, we flourish, get wrapped up lovingly so as to be free from the discomfort raging around. Eventually we come out of it and find ourselves back in the harsh realities of life. I have asked myself a couple of times why I have to bend to the heat waves that hit hard at me and inclusive of we humans.

Why can’t I just stand upright at all times when life gets very tough…Yes I do stand firm but I mean ” stand firm at all times like a robot” regardless of how tough the issues are.

I believe I’m not the only one in this situation, so many people are out there asking….Waiting… Wondering…Saying to themselves” I need to be stronger but how? God helps us but we also need to make way for the help to come through.

How do we stand lovingly firm at all times regardless of the tough situations that arises in life?
