Strength for Tomorrow

Tomorrow will be good

Take one step at a time

Send all the fears on errand

To a place they won’t be able to find their way back-eddaz

Don’t say you don’t have enough time. You have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Bill Gates, Micheal Angelo, Mark Zuckerberg, David Koch.

Don’t let YESTERDAY take up too much of today- the struggle you are in today is developing the strength you need for TOMORROW

Remind yourself that it’s OK not to be perfect.

Today was good today.

Today was fun.

Tomorrow is another one- Dr Seuss

Monday Moments

Wake up to a bright new day,

A day filled with promises and energy

Look higher than high,

Letting go of the moments of injustice;

Monday stands before you, and you step into the quest.

Tools picked out of the crumble,

Lo Monday here I come to conquer,

Goals set.

Action taken.

Momentum in progress.

Achievements realized,

Victory is yours for the taking.

I AM A WINNER!

Sometimes we find ourselves in a place called ‘tight corner.’ It’s a situation where we experience ‘burn out,’ we probably don’t know what to do at that moment, which could be due to a mixture of feelings cropping up from negative feelings, stress or whatever it is that makes us feel spiritless,it is also a process of slowly loosing interest in something we have been doing for long.

Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts-Winston Churchill

We might have found ourselves in such circumstances at one point of our lives. We need to get up and do the following tips mentioned. Take one step at a time, enjoy life, be optimistic regardless of what is at stake. Don’t give up on whatever you feel strongly about, the path to success is not a user-friendly one but it’s a gradual process.

Success is nothing more than a few simple disciplines, practiced everyday- Jim Rohn

Your decision to be successful lies in your mind and the action you take in accomplishing it.

However difficult life may seem, there is always something you can do and succeed at- Stephen Hawking

Frail Not Hail Nation

Peace derailed

from layer to layer

beneath the corrupt hawk lies

living flamboyantly

like there’s no tomorrow.

Laws bastardized

injustice to the poor

the pretentious snake looking for prey

the strong are growing frail

insecurity reigning, smiles fading.

 Follow not

the ways of the careless jug head

stand firm, wail until you are heard.

write, until the books are full

knock, until the doors are open.

Peace be recovered

Lawlessness redefined

Follow the path to a great nation.

The post is in response to the daily prompt. Frail.

Stop Running From Your Shadow

In response to this week’s discover challenge –  I would like to share with others a piece of advice I received from someone back in high school.

“Stop running from your shadow”. She called me alone to say just that short sentence to me which I pondered on for a pretty long time without actually accepting the truth behind it.

Back in high school I was someone I would say was POPULAR without a particular reason, I just didn’t get it, I never understood the logic behind my popularity. I was a very simple, level headed lady in school, I loved to be alone but unfortunately for me people loved me, they wanted to be friends with me, they wanted me to lead them, guess what I hated all these with a passion 😏, I felt it was too much of a burden for me to carry, all I wanted was my peace, just a few friends, study and go home to my best friend (Television).

It was that way for me all through my years of studying, and until I got my first job, it was still staring right into my face, people wanted to be like me, listen to me, do as I do, seriously I never understood it. Until I met someone else again who told me to just be myself and face my fears. I sat myself down to review the path of life I had lived and was living, I realized that I had been lucky, I would have lost a lot due to my insecurity and shadow fear 😊😊

Now I can face my fears, I can face responsibilities, I realized I didn’t need to be best of friends with all these people but to be attentive to their feelings, now I talk to them, I listen, I don’t mind if they wish to do as I do, I love making people smile. My colleagues love to dress the way I dress, up to my hairstyle, and really I have more confidence now, I encourage them, I give them tips on dating and fashion, I have also learnt not to take things personally due to my emotions. The benefit of all this is that it has opened doors of opportunities for me. My accepting my shadow has promoted me to an upstanding individual. I’m blessed that it wasn’t too late for me to come to terms with it.

My piece of advice based on my pervious experience is to never run from your shadow.
