Yes! I May Be Stubborn

Yes! I may be stubborn

It has elevated me to the level

of freedom, achievements, goodwill

That’s not all, you can’t drag me down.

Yes! I may be stubborn

The enigma tagging

along with me backed off

I have become too heavy for them.

Yes! I may be stubborn

It has cast the light for me

upon the good and bad

so that I may thread invulnerably.

Fairy Tales Love Stories

Choosing your life partner can sometimes be so tough. When you love someone, you love the whole person, the family and everything that makes that person. When you decide to share your love with a crazy person, you must know that their will be moments that you have to be crazy too, being in love with a sweet person makes everything mouth watering, loving a temperamental person requires a lot of patience.

Regardless of whom you swipe right or left with in the journey of love, make sure you hold onto each other because when the storm comes, it’s either you survive it together or you get carried away by it-Choose your love, Love your Choice. Love is based on commitment, everything you do is to appease, satisfy, help and serve the one you love.

I have a few fairy tale love success stories that I would like to share with my friends out there:

Britney and Daniel

Britney met Daniel when she was in the university and he was a banker, he stayed on the same street where Britney’s parents lived, once in while Daniel would walk over to Britney’s mother’s groceries shop close to the house to buy some groceries and he would stay back to have a chat with her mum until one day Britney got back from school after 3 hours journey and was very tired. Daniel stared at her in disbelief at how beautiful she looked and that was how the journey started, Daniel increased the number of times he bought groceries from the store until he finally met Britney alone in the store. Although Daniel didn’t seem right for her at first and she tried to avoid him a couple of times, but he never gave up on her. He would look for ways to get her alone in the store or down the street to chat with her and make her smile.

One day luckily for him he got her number, called her up a couple of times and started to visit her in school. Daniel waited 5 years for Britney to graduate from University and he finally he proposed, they are together and happy now. It was indeed tough for Daniel during the five years of waiting, but he kept on hard believing in the love he hard for her, Tina loved him more than ever because of his compelling nature, words that came out of him set him aside which thrilled her.

Elvin and Landen

Landen is 69 years now while Elvin is 60 years. I was opportuned to get this story from Elvin who spoke to me excitedly about how she met her husband years back. Dating back to about 35 years, Elvin and Landen met at a a friends party where they got introduced to each other by the celebrant, one thing led to the other and they started to date but a few months after, Elvin realised that Landen was too head strong and temperamental which kind off pissed her off.

Landen had to travel out of the country for 2 years after they got separated. When Landen got back from his trip, he perceived that he couldn’t let Elvin go because he was much too in love with her already and felt her happiness was much more important for him, Elvin accepted him back into her life because she also discovered one thing– her life was too BORING without him, they both knew they had to keep their love for each other to be able to feel the sun from both sides. Even though they have passed through storms in their marriage now, they are still crazily in love with each other with 4 kids that have grown into adults and 5 grandchildren.

Natasha and Zuriel

They were actually working in the same company, Zuriel was an expatriate from United Kingdom and Natasha was working in a construction company in South Africa. Natasha was transferred from one of the company branches to the headquarters where Zuriel was working. She was the facilities manager of the staff quarters management apartments where Zuriel was staying.

I love this story most especially and you will see the reason why. Zuriel took notice of her one morning while she moved around doing her business-her job. She never knew that while he was off work or about to live for the office in the morning, he would move around the compound several times just to see her and admire her, she would just walk by him and say her greetings politely which was what was expected of her.

One day Zuriel was off duty and sat down close to the pool side where she was inspecting the facilities. She looked up and met his eyes on her, she looked away quickly and tried to avoid his gaze. She walked past him without greeting him this time. Second day Zuriel called in sick at work, sat at his usual spot at the lounge, a couple of times he would look at her and smile, she would smile back, this kept on for a while until he asked her out for dinner. Nathasha eventually got a job at another company and they started a proper relationship, their love for each other grew stronger.

Zuriel decided to stay back in South Africa where they got married and her happy together with 2 kids.

Love can CONQUER ALL.

I Sing Praises To My Baby

My cow dry as the desert

wont produce milk from the mammary glands

stares sadly staight into my eyes

mamma, I’m dry, I’m sorry

she tells me persistently

I worry for my baby, shame all over her

I think to myself in the power

of praise, shall their be life

I walk to cattle, talk into her ears

look into her eyeballs, rub her ears

everyday, pamper, cuddle her

feed her with the best green leafs

remind her of her beauty

her importance in my life

In my home, to my health

she sees the love in my eyes

It triggers sensitivity in her soul

chemistry of stimuli start to apply

in her body,

she starts to secret milk

gradually, slowly, with

increasing pressure everyday

my cow gets it constantly, in all vitality

never ceasing, for continuous growth

Power of productivity lies in the praise.

Breaking Down The Walls of Jericho

This question must have got you thinking several times, “why are some people successful while some are not.” YES! some have actually gotten their wealth diligently, some probably got their’s through selfish, and desperate unreasonable acts…….name it. For those that got theirs through hard work, I asked myself how they did it, then I remembered the story of these great men and women.

I got inspired to write this article which some of us might have read about. They are stories of great people that have gone through challenging times in their early lives and have become what they are today through CONSISTENCY; Others might not have come across their stories, so lets go through their biographical sketch.

Walter EliasWALTER ELIAS – Walt Disney was born on December 5, 1901. Disney was an innovative animator and created the cartoon character Mickey Mouse. He won 22 Academy Awards during his lifetime, and was the founder of theme parks Disneyland and Walt Disney World.

How in the world was he able to achieve all this….Walt Disney was once taken to be a failure, he started very rough but that name “failure” never stuck to him.

In 1911, his family moved to Kansas City, where Disney developed a love for trains. His uncle, Mike Martin, was a train engineer. Later, Disney would work a summer job with the railroad, selling snacks and newspapers to travelers. When Disney was 16, he dropped out of school to join the Army but was rejected for being underage.

In 1919, Disney worked at the Kansas City Film Ad Company, where he made commercials based on cutout animation,  he got  fired because they said he lacked imagination and had no good ideas. Later on Disney was able to acquire his own studio.

By 1923, however, the studio had become burdened with debt, and Disney was forced to declare bankruptcy. Disney moved on to start a company which gradually became a success- after so much trials, errors, disappointments, he never gave up in what he believed in, he learn’t from his failures which turned into success for him at the end of it all.

J.K RowlingJoanne Rowling – J.K.Rowling was Born in Yate, England, on July 31, 1965. A graduate of Exeter University. Seven years after graduating from university, Rowling saw herself as a failure. Rowling moved to Portugal in 1990 to teach English where she met and married her husband in 1992.

In 1993 her marriage ended and in poverty. She was penniless, in acute hardship and depression, during all this trial periods, she actually contemplated on committing suicide. she later on ended up signing up to live on state benefits. Rowling moved to Edinburgh with her daughter to live near her younger sister.

She struggled to support her daughter and herself on welfare while she worked on a book, which she had a picture of  while she was traveling on a train from Manchester to London in 1990. In 1995, Rowling finished her manuscript for Harry porter which was rejected by 12 major publishing houses. A year later she was finally accepted and given a £1500 advance by a publishing house in London (Bloomsbury)- the success story didn’t end there instead she flourished to greater heights.

In October 2010, Rowling was named the “Most Influential Woman in Britain” by leading magazine editors. She has supported several charities.

Oprah WinfreyOPRAH WINFREY– Was born in the rural town of Kosciusko, Mississippi, on January 29, 1954. At a very young age she was sexually abused by male relatives and friends of her mother, she later on moved to Nashville to live with her father, who was a barber and businessman.

According to CNN, though Oprah’s first boss told her she was too emotional and not right for television. Winfrey’s  warm-hearted personality had taken her show from last place to first in the ratings. Even though she received lots of criticisms over the Oprah Winfrey Network’s low television ratings following its 2011 debut, Winfrey overhauled the company, took on the CEO role, and went on to help make her network a fixture on cable television.

In November 2013, Winfrey received the nation’s highest civilian honor, the Presidential Medal of Freedom. President Barack Obama gave her this award for her contributions to her country. Winfrey perceivered, she was consistent, never gave up in what she believed in, she went through the storm- She is a popular success story today!

Stephen KingSTEPHEN KING – was born on September 21, 1947, in Portland, Maine. King is recognized as one of the most famous and successful horror writers of all time, if you have had the time to read any of his stories, you would find out what a marvelous writer he is.

His early years was not so exciting seeing all his success story now, you can’t imagine what he’s been though, starting from his graduation with a degree in English in 1970, he tried to find a position as a teacher but had no luck at first. King took a job in a laundry and continued to write stories in his spare time until late 1971. He later began working as an English educator where he supplemented his income by selling short stories to magazines.

Do you know that Stephen King was rejected 30 times before his book was published? He initially threw the manuscript into the garbage which was later retrieved by his wife who believed strongly in his passion.

He has successfully published over 50 novels and has sold over million.

It’s not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives, it’s what we do CONSISTENTLY-Tony Robbins.

Muse of My Writing

O! there goes my seeking gull

My muse, precious gem, carrier…

In disquietude I have waited

The world is too much to occupy

Inspiration fading into thin smoke

My mouth has gone sour

Heart beats, soaked in blood

Rythm of thirst in my throat

Fly, fly, fly…..

Sing songs of meditation

Into my belly, fill it with words,

Which inspires, Voices out from my mouth

Imprinted down without repetitions

I soar with you, recognizing the weight of encumbrance

Be damned, bonfire needless to say

Syncopation air flow the words into my being

whole I am again, my soul which grew dark

Is filled with songs of the wind

Deep into the sea, I find my bond

Gush out to the surface

Which flows back into my burnt hands

Concurrently I put down the writings

So that I can live again.
