Distractions From Writing On My Blog

When I write, I usually have this intriguing smile on my face I usually don’t know why that happens but I seem to enjoy it. I love to pour my heart out most times, but I find it difficult editing my own blog posts, hence, I’ve realized once in a while I just need to do so because I like Perfection, even though I’m not there yet. There are some certain distractions so captivating that I just find it difficult to write down my thoughts.

The biggest distractions are…..

Movies….work stress….reading…Swagbucks…Social media

YES….they are my issues yet some of them are useful in helping me with thought sharing. Take for instance movies; it’s my favorite hobby, it inspires, relaxes, as a result, distracts me from timely writing.

I need to make money outside my blog, I got bills to pay, so work stress interferes a lot and gives me hard time visiting WordPress but I’m doing all I can to keep it checked.

Reading takes time and after I’m done reading books or other blog posts, I would be dead tired to write which I find distracting sometimes but nevertheless, I get to learn from other blogger’s posts consequently making friends through WordPress.

Yayyyy Swagbucks…I’m a survey freak and through Swagbucks, I’ve been able to earn lots of gift cards and bought so many things for myself just by doing surveys, trust me it takes a lot of time so you know what I mean.

Finally, social media….twitter, facebook, Pinterest, Instagram; time killers and distracting, on the other hand, this tools are the perfect combination for my blog.

However, amidst all my distractions I’m glad that I still find time to write.

Devastation- Never Been Asked Out By A Guy

A fully grown woman in all proportions is expected to be asked out by men whether handsome or ugly, tall, short or whatever. It’s rather devastating when a girl of eighteen and above, single, pretty and descent isn’t asked out by any guy but only admired once in a while with kind gestures.

What could be the problem here? I met with a friend of mine yesterday who introduced me to her younger cousin of twenty-four, pretty girl I must admit. Apparently she has never be asked out by a guy talkless of being kissed😮😮 isn’t that rather ridiculous… Literally she has been missing out on the sumptuous kisses and attention of cute guys.

Now how do I come in here? I’m supposed to help hook her up with a guy and then I asked her ‘Tell me about yourself’ she goes thus…. “I’m a very shy lady, I love reading, not really the social type, I’m a virgin” but of course she has to be….I mean she has never been asked out except… Honestly, I would prefer not to hook her up but try to help prepare her for the experience of getting herself hooked.

The point here is that there’s absolutely nothing wrong with her nature except there must be something she isn’t saying. One thing I noticed about her was that she’s exceptionally shy; in this day and age I haven’t met a guy that wants the shy, innocent mummy’s girl, unfortunately…Technology has changed men and other things. No one wants to hang out with the boring type; also she doesn’t have those attractive smiles that makes a guy pee in his pants…

What should a girl that has never been asked out by a guy do to have them running after her?

Me Getting Inspired on Monday

Have you ever woken up on a Monday morning and you felt like ‘what the hell am I going to do with my life today’? Trust me I’ve been there, still happens in some cases and it’s quite ridiculous. It could sometimes be as a result of energy getting sapped out of you and then you just want to crawl back into bed like a snail going back into its shell😀

I watched a movie yesterday ‘Sunday’ titled ‘The Little Prince’ I had previously read the review before selecting to watch it which I usually do, and it seemed to look nice. At the end of the movie which I watched for over 1 hour, I sat there for almost 30 minutes feeling sorry for myself and I told ‘me’ that I could have spent that quality time participating in the one word prompt than watching this sorry ass of a movie. That’s just how I could have described it, anyways what was I looking for? I thought animated movies are supposed to be for kids. However, I’m an adult but I still love watching them.

Back to Monday. On my way to work I remembered the ‘SAM’ which almost drowned my mood yesterday as I hadn’t recovered from it, and I decided to inspire myself with this music…I want to ask a question….What’s your source of inspiration? When you feel you are going down, your emotions are just totally messed up like you’ve been battered at the back of a car boot.

I have various sources of inspiration, it actually depends on my state of mind. Sometimes could be music, movies, don’t get me wrong, not like that mistake I made yesterday…or perhaps reading, driving around town, or just staring at an artwork and imagining things while doing that.

My source of inspiration on a Monday is my blog, reading other blogs and commenting or just listening to music. Inspire yourself on a Monday with something, don’t feel moody….
